The Problem With Tech Founders
Most founders won't tell you what they actually want.
They write vague mission statements — “connecting the world” — words that mean nothing and commit to nothing. Then they write 47-page Terms of Service that protect them from everything while promising you nothing.
You deserve to know what someone wants before you trust them with your tools.
The Problem
Every AI conversation starts from zero.
You explain your project. Your preferences. Your context. Again and again. And every word goes to servers you don't control.
Then the conversation ends, and it's gone. Tomorrow you start over.
Your knowledge should compound. Instead, it evaporates.
What We Believe
Tools should make people smarter and more independent — not more dependent.
Saga is designed to help you and whatever AI you use get smarter together. Your context grows. Your understanding deepens. The AI serves you better because it knows you better.
When tools actually elevate people, they flatten hierarchy — not reinforce it.
The goal isn't to make you need Saga forever. It's to make you more capable whether you use it or not.
What Saga Does
Saga is an AI workspace where your context stays yours.
- +Your context stays on your machine — not on someone else's server
- +Local AI runs without internet — works offline, completely private
- +Cloud AI is optional and transparent — see exactly what leaves your machine
- +Knowledge compounds — every session builds on the last
We're not anti-cloud. We're pro-choice. Use local when privacy matters. Use cloud when capability matters. Always know which is which.
How It Works
Most AI tools promise productivity but just add another interface to manage. We think productivity is simpler:
“The goal isn't to run the biggest model. It's to capture and reuse knowledge so you never explain the same thing twice.”
- 1.Extract — Pull insights from conversations you've already had with ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI
- 2.Save — Store as reusable context that loads into any future conversation
- 3.Start ahead — Every session builds on the last, not from zero
You don't need a powerful GPU for this. A 7B model on modest hardware handles extraction perfectly. The intelligence is in what you've learned, not in the model parameters.
The Business Model (Plainly)
30 days free. After that, a subscription. Same app for everyone — no tiers, no gated features, no enterprise upsell.
I built Saga the way I'd build it for my own children — and the way I'd want any company that sold anything to my children to build it.
That's it. You're not the product. The product is the product.
What Saga Aims For
A few things Saga is built around:
- +Your data stays on your machine
- +Your prompts stay between you and the model you choose
- +Saga works offline
- +Your content travels in open formats you can take with you
If these stop being true of Saga, it's no longer the thing I set out to build.
Yours to Use
What you make with Saga is yours — yours to keep, yours to share, yours to send wherever you want.
Use your tools wisely. Be mindful of how you share what you make with others.
About Me
Theo Kieu — Founder
I built Saga because I needed it.
I was tired of re-explaining context. Tired of wondering where my conversations went. Tired of tools that promised productivity but just created dependency.
Software should make you more free after using it, not less.
If that stops being true, I've failed.
Why This Page Exists
Most founders hide behind vague missions and 47-page Terms of Service.
I can't ask you to trust software with your context if I won't state my intentions publicly.
This is my commitment. Judge me by it.
